Bruichladdich Lochindaal 2007 is a 16-year-old single malt whiskey from the iconic Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, Scotland. It was bottled by Lady of the Glen at a strength of 59.4% vol. The whiskey has been aged in a 1st fill bourbon cask and finished in a 2nd fill Tawny Port cask with cask number 3372. Only 199 bottles were produced, making this whiskey a rare treasure.

The whiskey is part of an unusual, heavily smoky Lochindaal still, characterized by dry, smoky notes with hints of floral. The distillery is known for its rich and complex distillate, and this release is no exception. The whiskey has a phenolic content of 50 ppm, placing it between Bruichladdich's core products Port Charlotte and Octomore.

Aging in first fill bourbon casks gives the whiskey a solid foundation of sweetness and vanilla, while the final eight months in a 2nd Fill Tawny Port cask adds light fruity notes. The flavor profile reveals notes of peppermint, licorice, Nutella and a subtle hint of medicinal smoke. When tasting, nuances of sea spray, oysters and burnt orange also emerge, creating a unique and complex taste experience.

We are delighted to be able to offer this modern rarity from a distillery with such a rich history. With only 250 casks of Lochindaal distilled between 2007 and 2009, this is one of the oldest bottlings of its kind. Discover a whiskey that is as much a pleasure as it is a collector's item.
