Back to Elgin for the final release from this Dalgety release and to another classic Speyside style loved by mixers. This time the spirit is finished in ex-oloroso casks where balance is the key for us again. To achieve this balance, we've paired a pair of ex-oloroso hogsheads, a first fill and a refill cask that lets the floral/fruity character of the distillery shine through but with the addition of some wonderful notes of dried fruit, nuts and spices to compliment it.

 

Tasting revealed - maple pecan, dried fruit, dates, ginger crackers with star anise.
